- The Air Jordan 1 High OG "Japan" originally released as a 2,001-pair exclusive in Japan back in 2001.
- The pair features neutral grey textile leather across the upper with metallic silver accents on the toe, ankle, heel and Swoosh.
- The retro edition updates the original with Nike Air tongue branding while maintaining the premium construction of the 2001 release.
If you’ve been in sneakers for a while, you may remember the Air Jordan 1 “Japan” that released in 2001 and now the sneaker is set to make an anticipated return this year.
Debuted in 2001, this Air Jordan 1 was a Japan-exclusive and only saw a release of 2,001 pairs. While we don’t know if the sneaker will be kept as limited as once before, I think it’s a general consensus from the community that they aren’t.
This Air Jordan 1 will arrive in a Neutral Grey, White and Metallic Silver colorway for a premium as possible build. The upper feature Grey textile leather on the side paneling and toe overlay while featuring Metallic Silver on the toe, ankle, heel and Nike Swoosh logo on the side paneling. “Nike Air” tongues are the only difference the new updated version sees from the 2001 edition that released 19 years ago.
