UPDATE: Nike just revealed the official release date for Jordan Brand’s highly speculated Air Jordan 12 “Wings” release via Twitter today, and its VERY soon.
The Air Jordan 12 “Wings” will be releasing via Nike this Saturday, April 2nd, 2016 at 10AM EST and will cost you $225, not $190, as Nike recently changed the price. According to Nike’s Twitter, they will be a SNKRS exclusive release and not sold in stores. The shoes were originally rumored to be a collaboration with rapper Macklemore, but Nike has confirmed that this will not be the case. What we will see though is a nod to Michael Jordan’s iconic ‘Wings” poster. This premium black leather shoe will include the nostalgic “Wings” silhouette logo from the poster at the shoe’s heel. We will also see the “Wings” inscription in gold just above the white midsole, replacing the traditional Jumpman. Also, the black upper reveals gold wings as pictured above as you continue to wear the shoe. Rumors also suggest a limited edition release of just 12,000 pairs dropping this Saturday.
