Nike Release a Five-Pack of Air Max 97s in Preparation for the Olympics

Nike’s Air Max 97 has been in regular rotation for the brand since its 20th anniversary celebration in 2017, which has been a treat for fans of the silhouette. Today, Nike added five more colorways to their roster, in the new “Olympic” pack.

The Air Max 97 has been going strong since 2017, when the Swoosh celebrated 20 years of the legendary running sneaker. Since then, the sleek Air Max has been a regular on Nike’s release calendar, appearing amongst special collaborative projects as well as unique in-house releases like the “N64” colorway from late last year. This week, Nike unleashed a new pack of five different colorways of the Air Max 97 in honor of the upcoming 2020 Summer Olympic Games. Each shoe in the collection represents one of the rings from the Games’ logo, with each featuring a smooth suede mudguard for an added luxurious element. All five pairs will also come with gold Nike Swoosh lace locks for an Olympic-style finish.
