Chinatown Market and PUMA are teaming up once again. After the success of the Los Angeles brand’s take on the famous Clyde last year, the two are taking it a step further with the new Future Rider, launching next week.
PUMA is celebrating the Future Rider in style. Originally released last year, the modern day update to an ’80s running sneaker has been a low-key hit for the German sportswear brand in the months since. Now, PUMA is handing over control to their now-three-time partners at Chinatown Market for theit take on the sleek lifestyle runner. This includes rebuilding some of the Future Rider, equipping it with more technical materials, like the new translucent ripstop nylon base layer. This material has been a favorite amongst footwear brands in the past year, and can be spotted on some 2019 PUMA models as well. For their Future Rider, Chinatown Market reinforces the translucent material with a mudguard, heel counter, and ankle lining all in smooth suede, while a solid leather Fromstrip is attached to either side. The lacing system is also constructed from leather, and features rope-like cord laces for a smooth finish.

The upcoming Chinatown Market x PUMA Future Rider is scheduled to release next Saturday, on January 25th, 2020. The reconstructed version of this silhouette will be available in both black and white, retailing for $120 each.
