Nike SB has had quite a year. From the color-changing Jordan 1’s to the resurgence of SB Dunks, they’ve been killing it. Now, the SB team is trying something new with Gino Iannucci’s POETS brand by adding React midsoles to the SB Bruin.
Nike’s React technology is infectious. Launched in the end of 2017 but not widely available until this year, the underfoot foam has had a rollercoaster of a development rollout. In 2019, Nike began adding the squishy soles to just about everything in their catalog, from classics like the Air Presto to brand new silhouettes, like the Air Max 270 React. Now, the team at Nike SB wants in on the fun, teaming up with POETS Brand’s Gino Iannucci to add React to the retro Bruin. Decked out in all-black, the reworked silhouette shows no signs of the new engine its sporting under the hood. Instead, the look is accented by a neon green Swoosh that extends from the heel on top of the midsole. Aside from that, the look is pretty simple, but we cant’t wait to see how they feel on feet.
POETS BRAND X NIKE SB BRUIN REACT RELEASE INFORMATION
The upcoming project from POETS Brand and Nike has been scheduled to release later this week, on January 2nd, 2020. The new React-filled version of the Nike SB Bruin will be releasing online directly via POETS at 9AM ET. It is still unclear whether the collaboration will be hitting more retailers, so stay tuned for updates.
