Nike’s Joyride tchnology is only a couple months old, and is already following in the footsteps of React with a littany of new silhouettes. This week, the Swoosh debuted the Joyride Dual Run, which launches early this December.
Nike Joyride technology is not the first footwear innovation to be based around responsive plastic beads. Some may recognize similar iterations in adidas’ Boost or Puma’s NRGY, but we’re always excited to see what twist Nike delivers in their version. This week, the brand showed off a number of new silhouettes joining the Joyride family, namely the ISPA-created Envelope, as well as the much more low-key performance-minded Dual Run. The latter is the latest in the Swoosh’s new energy bead-fueled footwear, providing another well-rounded option for runners. The Dual Run sports a thin, durable, and breathable mesh upper on top of the Joyride midsole, which features two bead-filled pods under the heel and midfoot for maximum energy return, while a lightweight EVA foam in the forefoot assists during transitions. The Nike Joyride Dual Run is available now in two colorways, with more on the way soon.

Nike’s latest Joyride-equipped running shoe is scheduled to release in a few weeks on December 2nd, 2019, though Nike members can log in now to grab their pair. The sleek new Dual Run will likely carry a price tag somewhere in the $140 range, and release from both Nike as well as performance retailers.
