Although the React technology is fairly recent, Nike has used its wide success by introducing new models. Straying away from its low-top React Element predecessor, the newest addition to Nike’s catalog presents a high-top lifestyle model; the React Ianga.
While Nike has many lines under their umbrella, the latest THE10TH series pays homage to their co-founder, Bill Bowerman. As he served in the Tenth Mountain Division, this division operated in hard weather conditions and the React Ianga acts as a product of that. Combining performance and style, Nike sets out to create a sneaker that parallels Bowerman’s history while looking into the future of lifestyle silhouettes.
As the newest model, the Nike React Ianga boasts a high-cut design not usually found in lifestyle models. Composed of textured canvas, leather, and waxed laces, the model compiles a mixture of materials to give the React Ianga a unique aesthetic. The model dons a Black, White, Wheat, and Phantom color scheme throughout its upper while sitting atop a white React cushioned sole. The lateral portion of the ankle sees a subtle “THE10TH” logo placed showcasing the newest addition to the Nike Sportswear line.
