The Hybrid Nike Air Max 90/1 Launches in the OG “Laser Blue” Next Month

The Nike Air Max is one of the most popular lines from the Swoosh in their lengthy history. With this year’s Air Max Day already far behind us, the Swoosh has been dropping hot new colorways of the hybrid Air Max 90/1.

The combination Air Max 90/1 is was actually first released in 1992 as a retro version of each sneaker. At first, fans of the franchise were not happy to see some of their favorite sneakers bastardized in such a way. However, the original run was produced in incredibly low numbers (just a few thousand) so old school Air Max heads have been extremely excited for these new releases. The latest hybrid 90/1 colorway pays homage to an original color scheme that hits the spot even today. The new Nike Air Max 90/1 begins with a white mesh upper, layered with soft white leather paneling. The lower levels circling the upper comes in black to contrast, while the midsole takes on the namesake Laser Blue color around the air bubble and upper eyelets.
