R.A.D® entered the running category in October 2025 with the UFO, its first performance running shoe, building on a name it had already made in training and CrossFit circles since the brand’s 2019 founding by Ben Massey. The shoe was developed by Tom Berend, R.A.D®’s Head of Design and Innovation and a former lead innovator at Nike’s Innovation Kitchen, working alongside Blue Benadum, the brand’s Head of Running Product and a co founder of the ultra running relay The Speed Project.
