Albino & Preto is bringing their unique style to the world of sneakers this month, through a collaboration with Asics and the GEL-Kayano 12.1 sneaker, dressed in two neon colorways.
A&P was founded in 2011, starting off as a supplier of Brazilian jiu-jitsu uniforms. Over the past fifteen years, their focus has widened to become a full fledged lifestyle brand, branching out into collaborations and gear for both inside and out of competitions. Through it all they’ve continued to highlight their BJJ uniforms, currently boasting recent collaborations with Keith Haring’s estate, the band Kiss, and Japanese apparel brand Needles. Over time they’ve stepped into the world of footwear and sneakers as well, bringing jiu-jitsu gi styling to the Nike SB Dunk back in 2023. This month, Albino & Preto returns to sneakers with a new Asics collaboration, highlighting the GEL-Kayano 12.1 model in two colorways. One pair comes in a crispy white build with metallic silver overlays, while the other is outfitted in jet black. Both add plenty of neon green accents to complete the look.

The upcoming special release from Albino & Preto, atmos, and Asics is currently expected to release next week, on August 27th, 2026. The project is rumored to have it initial drop exclusively through Japanese retailer atmos, though their preview event is happening in Costa Mesa, California, this weekend on the 23rd. The GEL-Kayano 12.1 gets a neon-accented style in two colors, black or white. Pairs will come with a $175 price tag.
