Breaking news in the sneaker world today; Jordan Brand will reunite with Undefeated for a new project in 2027, consisting of of a “Moon Fossil” canvas pair of the Air Jordan 5.
Undefeated is one of the oldest streetwear boutiques native to the West Coast, and has a long history of special collaborations and fan-favorite sneakers. Way back in the early 2000s, UNDFTD created arguably one of the most important Jordan Brand sneakers of all time, the legendary olive green pair of the Air Jordan 4. That shoe was the ultimate grail for two decades before it was remastered for a special anniversary release last year, flooding the market with a huge number of pairs with the majority of them going into the hands of fans instead of resellers.
News of a potential new team-up from Undefeated and Jordan Brand first appeared over the weekend from EldenMonitors, before the shoes themselves surprisingly surfaced this morning. The project will feature the Air Jordan 5 in not one but two colorways, though only the “Moon Fossil” edition has emerged so far. The pairs seen here are likely early production pairs or final samples given the alleged release timeline, but give us a good luck at what to expect come February. The high-top sneaker comes in a canvas build entirely in the soft tan Fossil tone. Silver 3M tongues peak out from behind the laces, adding a webbing strip from the top all the way to the toe box. Red Jumpman branding is layered on top of UNDFTD’s Five Strikes logo, which also appears embroidered on the heels in olive green. The collars feature a unique stitching detail with concentric circles, while Nike Air / UND branding on the heels completes the look.

The new collaboration from Jordan Brand and Undefeated is still a ways away, with leaks suggesting pairs will launch on February 18th, 2027, though this date is likely not set in stone yet. The project will feature the Air Jordan 5 this time around, with two colorways expected to launch, of which the “Moon Fossil” pair has already emerged in early samples. Pairs will likely be available first through UNDFTD, followed by a wider drop from SNKRS and select retailers for $230.
