Japanese retailer atmos has a long-running series with adidas applying glow-in-the-dark snakeskin textures some iconic retro sneakers. This year, they are switching gears to bring the G-SNK line to the EVO SL, coming soon.
atmos is one of the most prolific sneaker collaborators in the world, having built strong relationships with a wide swathe of brands since their founding in 2000. atmos is one of the bigger sneaker chains across Japan, and works with Nike, New Balance, adidas, and more to bring regional exclusive styles to their home country. Back in 2011, adidas and atmos team up for their first G-SNK collaboration, which took the iconic “Aqua” ZX 8000 and gave it a new spin, applying glow-in-the-dark snakeskin leather to the shoe’s outer paneling. Since then, they have continued the G-SNK theme with regular releases, dropping 11 different colorways and models since that OG 2011 drop.
This week, we have an early leak of the next atmos x adidas G-SNK release, which switches gear from their usual retro runners into modern performance gear. The EVO SL has become an incredibly popular lifestyle model for the Three Stripes, following in the footsteps of the Ultraboost which was also originally designed for running and quickly became an everyday sneaker. atmos’ take on the EVO SL makes some changes to the construction, a first for the model, bringing a knit or mesh textile to the forefoot of the silhouette. The signature G-SNK pieces are applied to the oversized stripes on each side to complete the look. Additionally, the leaked pair seems to show two different color options, one white and one black. Both are right shoes, presumably meaning this is not a mismatched pair.
ATMOS X ADIDAS EVO SL “G-SNK” RELEASE INFORMATION
The next entry in the long-running “G-SNK” series from Japan’s atmos and adidas does not have a release date yet, but is expected to land sometime in Fall/Winter 2026. The project appears to apply a mesh or knit upper to the Evo for this release, adding the glow-in-the-dark snakeskin print to the shoe’s oversized stripes. There will either be two pairs in this drop, one white and one black, both of which will likely be exclusive to atmos channels.
