Nike’s woven design elements have found their way onto some of the brand’s most iconic sneakers over the years. This Summer, the Air Max 95 will join the ranks of these unique models, adding woven strips in a “Multicolor” look for the first time since 2019.
Woven fabrics are as old as as the manufacturing industry itself, and Nike has been incorporating woven elements into their sneakers for decades. In 1996, the Air Footscape Woven went mainstream, blending the shoe’s asymmetrical design with long nylon strips in a traditional weaving pattern. In recent years, other iconic sneakers have donned the simple technology, like last year’s “New Jersey” Air Force or Union’s three-way collab with Bephie’s Beauty Supply. This week, the Air Max 95 has surfaced sporting a woven upper, for the first time since it’s introduction back in 2019. Nylon strips are woven over and under the silhouette’s wavy layered upper, cast in neon shades of green, pink, yellow and orange. The color choice provides high contrast against the grey-to-black gradient of the base look, adding blue Air bubbles underneath and a flash of orange on the outsoles.
AIR MAX 95 WOVEN “MULTICOLOR” RELEASE INFORMATION
Nike’s new woven style of the Air Max 95 has not been announced for release yet, but will land on shelves sometime in Summer 2026. The new look brings overlapping nylon strips to the AM95’s wavy upper in a checkerboard pattern, using neon accents over a standard grey gradient look. Pairs will be available from both Nike and select retailers for $190.
