Back in December, Nike’s .SWOOSH department took on the ReactX Rejuven8 slide for a duo of colorways dubbed “Touch Grass”. Now, the special division is revisiting comfortable slide for a new “Grass Fire” pair, coming soon.
Nike’s .SWOOSH department has been on a hell of a ride since its introduction several years ago. Initially created during the pandemic-era NFT & crypto boom, .SWOOSH was meant to be their platform for digital assets. When that venture didn’t pan out as they’d hoped, .SWOOSH pivoted to pop culture themed releases, primarily focusing on video game-inspired takes on some of the brand’s iconic Air Max models. Back in December, the team released pairs of the ReactX Rejuven8 slide that poked fun at the online saying ‘touch grass’, used typically to say one is spending too much time in front of screens and to go outside. Now, they are revisiting that concept for an interesting new take, seemingly burning that grass into charred black ashes. The look features a green grass print for the rear half of the shoe, while the front comes in a black and grey print, with red, orange, and yellow separating the two to creat the effect of smoldering materials.

Nike .SWOOSH has not announced the release of their third style for the “Touch Grass” ReactX Rejuven8, though they are expected to launch in April 2026. The new pair ditches the shaggy fur build, lighting it on fire at the toes for a strange new look. Pairs will be available through Nike channels for $75.
