Nike has been laser focused on their Air Max 95 retro over the past year. They’ve sprinkled in some other models, and now the Air Max 90 is back for another moment in the limelight, emerging in some excellent new styles like this “Grey Infrared” look for SS26.
Air Max releases from Nike are likely never going to fully wind down, though some years are slower than others. The past twelve months have been anything but, as the Swoosh celebrated the thirty-year milestone of the iconic Air Max 95. The 95 has had dozens of releases in that time, mostly rehashing classic colorways with the new Big Bubble treatment. Thankfully, we’ve had some breaks in the release schedule for other Air Max classics, like Patta’s return to the Air Max 1 or the “Neon” AM90. This week, the Air Max 90 has surfaced in another excellent colorway for the warmer, brighter days ahead, mixing simple neutrals with bright pops of color. The new “Grey Infrared” look features a white mesh base with Platinum Grey and Cool Grey accents, using the silhouette’s stiff TPU attachments to add a bold neon blue shade. The look is completed by Infrared suede Swooshes for a nice bit of contrast.

Nike’s latest color of the Air Max 90 retro does not have a set release date yet, but is likely coming in late Spring or Summer 2026. The second striking colorway we’ve seen this month paints the runner in a mix of neutral cool grey tones with bold accents in neon blue and Infrared. Pairs will be available from both Nike and select retailers, with pricing likely around $150.
