Last week, a vintage Nike track shoe resurfaced as a lifestyle model for women. Now, the Air Force 1 Low has emerged in the same coloring, with similar detailing, but sporting a new Femme subtitle. Check out the new “Ridgerock” look, coming soon.
Nike has a lot of gold sitting in their archives from the past fifty-plus years of making footwear. Last week, the brand announced a new retro of another older running shoe, the Sprint Sister. Originally built as a track spike for women in the late ’70s, the silhouette leans hard into the trend of super-slim sneakers, much like New Balance’s 204L. Today, the Air Force 1 Low has joined the Spring Sister for it’s upcoming release, featuring the same color scheme and detailing as the low-profile runner, but also donning a new subtitle; Femme. While this naming scheme has yet to be explained by Nike, we can assume that the Femme line is a new focus on women’s sneakers, bringing colors and patterns to iconic Swoosh models. This AF1 release dons the same Ridgerock brown color as the Sister, using the same light blue accent for the laces and Nike Air branding. Additionally, the AF1 uses the same perforation pattern on its toe box as the Sister uses for it’s suede Swoosh.
NIKE AIR FORCE 1 FEMME “RIDGEROCK” RELEASE INFORMATION
Nike’s newest take on the Air Force 1 Low, subtitled Femme, has not been officially announced for release yet, but is expected to arrive soon for Spring 2026. The new model bears the same color, perforations, and accents as the soon-to-be-retroed Sprint Sister, though the new Femme name has yet to be explained. Pairs will be available through Nike and select retailers, pricing is currently unknown.
