Canadian womenswear label Aritzia is back with a follow-up to their debut sneaker collaboration this season. Revisiting their minimal Edition A version of the Nike LD-1000, the fresh pair comes in a warm “Sesame” shade for Spring.
The Nike LD-1000 has a wild origin story. Originally released in 1977 as a long-distance running shoe, the LD’s flared heel design ultimately caused injuries and led to the shoe being recalled. Decades later, Nike brought it back, and Canadian fashion brand Aritzia jumped on the silhouette for their first ever sneaker collaboration. Released in October 2025, the “Fauna Brown” Edition A swapped the original mesh upper for premium tumbled leather, relocated the Swoosh to a subtle debossed hit on the toe, and came with a custom lace charm, falling in line with Aritzia’s “everyday luxury” aesthetic.
This week, the Canadian fashion brand has unveiled their sophomore release with Nike, returning to the LD-1000 Edition A for a warmer release as we move into Spring. Their next release of the special Edition A features the same smooth tumbled leather construction, and the same tonal color blocking as its predecessor. This time, the retro runner comes in Nike’s “Sesame” shade, a pale tan look befitting of Aritzia’s aesthetic and the warmer tones we typically see through Spring & Summer fashion collections. The new style carries all the same special details, including small charm keychains, dust bags, and a special slide box that opens from the sides.

The sophomore release from the ‘everyday luxury’ womenswear brand Aritzia and Nike has been scheduled to release tomorrow, March 3rd, 2026. Once again using their minimal Edition A version of the LD-1000 runner, this pair comes in a tonal “Sesame” tan shade. Pairs also come with a special keychain attachment, and premium slide-out packaging. This release will be an Aritzia-exclusive drop, priced at $165.
