Nike’s Air Force 1 remains a staple of their catalog, refreshed with new colors and styles on a regular basis. This season, the silhouette’s Jewel Swoosh variant is making a return, adding a few new colors for the Fall, including a jet black pair constructed from suede, coming soon.
Several years ago, Nike revived a cult classic version of their Air Force 1 Low, the model’s “Jewel” variant. These pairs originated in 1997, and brought a plastic or jelly-like small Swoosh to the model to replace the usual large panels on either side. The model was a hit among fans of the AF1 as a casual sneaker, and has since been rolled out on special occasions, most recently in 2017 and 2022 for the Jewel version’s twentieth and twenty-fifth anniversaries.
This year, Nike is breaking out the Jewel AF1 again for Fall and Winter. We have an early look at one of the new styles coming soon this week, which prepares for the darker color styles of Fall and Winter, along with different materials. The pair seen here comes entirely in a black suede build, with transparent gel Swooshes on either side of the shoe. The midsoles and Nike branding come in their classic Cool Grey shade to complete the look.
AIR FORCE 1 LOW JEWEL “BLACK SUEDE” RELEASE INFORMATION
Nike’s latest pair of their Air Force 1 Low Jewel has not been given an official release date yet, but is expected to arrive sometime in Fall 2024. Dressed in an inky black suede upper with cool grey midsoles, pairs will be available from both Nike and select retailers for $130.
