Nike’s Air Force 1 has seen plenty of variations over the years, adapting the shoe for different situations. This Fall, the AF1 Wild joins the pack, with outdoor ready features for the retro model.
The Air Force 1 is getting a fresh update from Nike this year, giving the classic basketball shoe an outdoor-ready option with a host of new features. While the general shape and look is the same, the new AF1 Wild swaps out some key components for more rugged ones to deliver a take perfect for the hiking trails. The shoe features a canvas base layer with smooth suede overlays, swapping out the tongues for a new heightened version with an added pull tab on top. The midsoles have also been swapped for a new tooling, featuring the patterned look of the Air Humara, and more terrain-ready outsoles. The heels also include a secondary cushioned heel inside the shoe to protect your ankles while exploring the wilderness.

Nike’s latest new version of the Air Force 1 has not been given a set release date, though they will arrive in stores sometime in Fall 2023. Giving the classic shoe an outdoor-ready makeover, pairs will be available from both the brand and select retailers, with an expected price tag of approximately $140.
