Nike Celebrates Berlin With a “Grey City”-Inspired Air Force 1 Mid

Nike’s Air Force 1 Mid is gearing up for a comeback in 2022, with several high-profile projects, including a collaboration with Stüssy in the pipeline. Today, we have an early look at a new “Berlin”-themed pair, coming soon.

We are only halfway through February, and already we have seen a decent handful of new colorways of the Nike Air Force 1 Mid set to drop throughout the year. We just wish the released had started sooner, because some of these new colorways look fantastic. The latest new release of the Air Force 1 Mid to surface is a themed sneaker, celebrating the city of Berlin by borrowing the colors and tones that give the metropolis its “Grey City” name. The look begins with a dark grey premium leather base layer, before adding support overlays in anthracite black suede. Large white Swooshes adorn either side, while Berlin’s area code of 030 is embroidered on the lateral sides of the toe. The Air Force 1 Mid is completed by special AF1 branding on the lace dubraes and insoles.
