Nike’s Air Max 96 II Surfaces in a Beach-Ready Color Scheme for Summer

Nike’s retro reissue of the Air Max 96 II is finally here, answering the calls of many Air Max heads for the return of a beloved model. This week, we have an early look a new “Beach”-themed pair, releasing soon.

Nike’s penchant for reviving nostalgic, fan-favorite sneakers has brought us some incredible release in recent years, particularly when it comes to the Air Max family. This year, the Swoosh has delivered a faithful retro iteration of the classic Air Max 96 II, offering up the vintage runner in classic colorways, as well as some new styles, like this “Beach” themed pair set to release in the coming weeks. This look begins with a sand-colored mesh base layer, reinforced by canvas overlays of the same shade. Indigo blue denim mid layers stick out along the quarter panels and tongues, while hints of red adorn the yellow chenille Swoosh as well as the shoe’s heels.

Nike’s new “Beach”-themed colorway of the retro Air Max 96 II sneaker has not yet been announced for release, though they are expected to launch sometime in the coming weeks. The tan-based color scheme will be available from both Nike and select retailers in limited numbers, along with an elevated price tag of $170.
