Alexander Wang and adidas are set to release their third collection this month. The collection contains a mix of footwear and apparel as always. While we’ve already seen one sneaker from the collection, another new silhouette recently surfaced online.
Alexander Wang and adidas have formed a beautiful partnership. The collaboration between high fashion and sports performance first began in early 2017 with the first collection. Now with the third arriving in stores any day now, Instagram user SneakerProphet has shared the first look at a new adidas silhouette from Alexander Wang. The new shoe comes as a surprise from the pair after the official announcement of the new project, which only included the Alexander Wang x adidas Soccer Shoe in the footwear category.
The new Alexander Wang silhouette is quite an eyeful. The upper of the shoe features a heavy use of layers and materials to provide texture both physically and visually The main body of the shoe appears to be made from neoprene, covered by a netting similar to adidas’ new Deerupt sneaker. Layers of suede are added around the mudguard for a luxurious look, while more neoprene around the heel helps the silhouette retain its shape and hug your foot. The upper is completed by loose mesh sections around the tongue and toe box, and what appears to be a thin carbon fiber strip providing support along the sole. The new Alexander Wang adidas silhouette makes use of the tonal sole from other models, mixing speckled white areas with a different-colored brick in the center, similar to the NMD line. The midsole is protected from the weather by a rough trail outsole.
No official information regarding the next Alexander Wang x adidas sneaker has been released yet. The new silhouette fuses elements of his past models into one sleek design using a mix of materials.
