Ronnie Fieg has unveiled his latest footwear project, teaming up with his longtime partners Clarks and adidas to apply a crepe sole to the Samba, releasing later this week.
Footwear brand’s rarely team up with one another, preferring to keep their proprietary secrets to themselves. However, in recent years, adidas has seemingly flipped the script, opening up their playbook to a number of partners like Allbirds and Reebok. Now, they have linked up with Clarks at the request of Ronnie Fieg to combine their classic Samba with Clark’s signature crepe sole unit. The project so far features three colorways of the retro football silhouette, the first of which features a cream white upper with green accents and a brown toe cap. The others are more tonal, one in all tan, and the other in black with white stripes. However, one photo of the Clarks hangtag suggests at least three other styles may be available. Finally, each pair comes in a special box with artwork of a peaceful mountain town on the lid.
