The Air Max 97 is not going away soon. Having leaked and subsequently released in many new colorways so far this year, official images recently surfaced of one of the coolest yet.
Get ready for more exciting new Air Max colorways. Nike is not holding back with the 97 silhouette this year, with a brand new “South Beach” colorway set to release at the end of the month. This new variation receives its name from one of the most coveted LeBron James shoes of all time, the South Beach LeBron 8. Despite this similarity, the colorways are not exactly on par. The new Air Max 97 “South Beach” features a white base for most of the shoe. Next, a smooth Kinetic Green mesh is used to fill the gaps around the tongue, the top sections of the shoe, and the gap at the bottom which features a tiny Swoosh poking through. For more added detail a singular hot pink wave runs around the shoe and takes over the Swoosh branding on the shoe. As always, 3M reflective taping takes over several wavy layers circling the upper.

The Nike Air Max 97 OG “South Beach” is perhaps one of the most exciting AM97s to release since the shoe’s anniversary last year. Combining a plain white base with bright pink and green tones, this pair is a going to be perfect for the Spring and Summer months. You’ll be able to get your hands on a pair from either the Nike SNKRS App or select Swoosh retailers on March 31st for $160.
