The adidas NMD family has taken a step back from the limelight in 2018. The storied and cherished line has been at the center of adidas’ meteoric rise to prominence, though this year’s releases have slowed down. 2018 saw the release of several new additions to the NMD franchise, and despite these great-looking newcomers, the original R1 silhouette still reigns supreme. Now, the brand is currently preparing to release a new look for their famous NMD_R1 for the new year. These two new colorways are set to kick off adidas’ release schedule in 2019, each with its own unique look. The “Ice Mint” pair is entirely tonal, covering the mesh upper and midsole inserts in the pastel green tone, and preserving the solid Boost midsole in white. The “Raw Indigo” color scheme is slightly more complex, featuring a faded purple tone for the upper and forward EVA insert, while a pastel blue tone takes over the heel EVA pods.

The new-look adidas NMD_R1 colorways are scheduled to hit shelves on January 1st, 2018. As usual, these NMDs will retail for $130, launching from both adidas and select retailers.
