The adidas Yung-1 and FYW S-97 both recently returned from their home in the 90’s, taking on slight modifications to fit today’s climate. Now, adidas has created a two-piece pack from the two, unifying them with a new pattern meant to mimic a cloudy sky.
The adidas Originals roster of footwear has grown immensely in the past few years, adding dozens of new and retrofitted styles to their available options. This week, the Brand with the Three Stripes has chosen two of these refurbished silhouettes, the Yung-1 and FYW S-97, applying a new cloud-like pattern to create the new “In the Sky” pack.
The adidas “In the Sky” pack is a beautiful take on two recently remodeled silhouettes. First off, the Yung-1 begins with the blue and white cloud print for the mesh base layers before adding smooth grey leather and rougher grey-blue suede for a more layered look. The standard three stripes come in the shoe’s bluish-grey color, with yellow accents to outline. Next up, the FYW S-97 also starts off with the new cloud print mesh base layer. The layers of the shoe are also built using grey and blue materials, though the S-97 relies more heavily on the grey leather as opposed to its counter part.
ADIDAS ORIGINALS YUNG-1 & FYW S-97 “IN THE SKY” RELEASE INFORMATION
The adidas Originals “In the Sky” pack, consisting of the Yung-1 and FYW S-97 will make its debut on April 27th, 2019, though select sizes are currently available from SneakersNStuff. The more minimal Yung-1 will go for the usual $120, while the chunkier S-97 will also retain its $140 retail price.
