Nike’s lineup of React-filled silhouettes has exploded this year, offering up options for any terrain. This month, Nike has unveiled their latest addition, a low-key running shoe built for the elements. Check out the Odyssey React Shield, launching soon.
Despite the introduction of a new Nike React sneaker, this is not the first to fall under the Odyssey name. In fact, the Odyssey was the second model to debut this year, shortly after the Epic React. The secondary silhouette was built to serve much of the same running crowd as its predecessor, albeit with a thicker and stiffer upper, providing more support. Now, that same silhouette is going back to the drawing board, as the Swoosh plans to debut a new weather-repellent pair in October. Titled the Odyssey React Shield, the shoe is made from neoprene and mesh along with a water-resistant layer to help keep your feet dry. The upper is constructed in a single piece, with an elasticized lacing system for quick adjustments in intense conditions. The next-gen Odyssey React will launch in a soft white and grey colorway, complete with bright green accents.

Nike’s next React silhouette, the Odyssey Shield, is scheduled to make its debut on October 11th, 2018. The new weather-repellent sneaker will retail for a cool $130, and release from both Nike and select retailers.
