Nike’s Air Max 1 has been celebrating thirty-five years of excellence this year, and will continue to arrive in new styles in the new year. Today, we have an early look at a fresh ‘Coconut Milk’ style, coming soon.
Nike’s special-edition releases of the AM1 have been plentiful this year, and there are no signs of them slowing down. Usually released in the silhouette’s new ’87 format, which is made to resemble the original as closely as possible, the Swoosh has been having fun decking out the classic runner in exciting colors and materials. This week, the ‘Coconut Milk’ pair emerged, showing off a number of exotic prints and materials. The look begins with an off-white mesh base layer, adding spotted leather to the toe box and perimeter overlays. The midfoot section features embroidered tiger stripes, while the heel counter is constructed from a reptile leather pattern. Hints of dark brown add some depth to the color palette to complete the look.

Nike next colorway of their ’87 Air Max 1 has not been announced for release, though they are expected to launch sometime early in 2023. Featuring numerous prints and materials, the ‘Coconut Milk’ style will be available through their SNKRS app as well as select retailers for $150.
