The rumors are true. The adidas Yeezy 500 will re-launch in its original “Super Moon Yellow” colorway next month. While some fans are moving away from Yeezys, that will just make it easier for other to finally secure their pair.

The adidas Yeezy 500 has gone through quite a bit of controversy in its lifetime. When the chunky model was first introduced, fans were displeased with the departure from previous Yeezy footwear models. The shoe fit right into the still growing “dad” wave that was beginning to blossom around the same time. Over time, appreciation for both over-layered runners and specifically the Yeezy 500 has grown exponentially. Now, thanks to our friends YzyLab, we have an official date for the return of the OG colorways.

The adidas Yeezy 500 “Super Moon Yellow” will return early this June. Originally included in a package deal with Yeezy clothing, the shoe cost over $780 for those who decided to purchase them. This time, however, the silhouette will release alone. As with other colorways of the latest Yeezy, the “Super Moon Yellow” hue covers the shoe entirely. The soft, buttery yellow is a great look for the layered shoe because it showcases all the tiny details and textures.
