The Undefeated x Air Jordan 4, considered one of the holiest sneaker grails around, first released in 2005 and now fetches over $20,000 on the resale market.

The Undefeated x Air Jordan 4 “Oiled Olive” first released back in 2005. The release was limited to just 72 pairs, one of the most exclusive public releases of all time. Back then, the only way to get your hands on them was to be in Los Angeles for the release. Customers were required to purchase a special edition t-shirt that came with a raffle ticket, of which 72 could win you a pair of the UNDFTD x Air Jordan 4. The original pair was constructed from a smooth oiled leather upper in a plain olive color, with the signature eyestays and heel tab of the Jordan 4 dipped in black. The laces, inner lining of the tongue, and visible Airbag take on a bright orange color scheme, completing the military-inspired look that Undefeated is so partial to. Details of the shoe also included multiple laces colors and a removable velcro Jordan logo on the tongue. Now, a supposed 2017 sample of the shoe has been shared in new images online, with a slightly newer look. The leather on this new pair appears to be replaced with a soft nubuck or suede instead of the oiled suede used on the original. Aside from that minor difference, the shoe remains exactly the same as it’s original release, right down to the Undefeated logo on the inside of the tongue. According to Sneakerslut23, the account that shared the photos, the shoes will not see a release despite the existence of a sample.
