The Nike Epic React just launched last month, and many sneaker fans are still making up their minds about the new tech. It appears that fashion brand Undercover has already decided for themselves, as they revealed the new Undercover x Nike React Element 87.

Nike React technology is still largely new in the footwear world. First launched during the 2017 NBA Finals, the new underfoot foam was designed to replace the brand’s famous LunarLon. The first running shoe to feature a non-covered React midsole arrived in stores last month in the form of the Nike Epic React Flyknit, and most colorways have since sold out. The new cushioning is certainly a technological marvel, as they are so lightweight that the box almost feels empty when first in-hand. Now, it appears that Japanese streetwear brand undercover has been given the opportunity to produce three wild colorways of their new collaborative Nike React Element 87 silhouette. The Element 87 was first showcased in the brand’s latest fashion show, and are a vast departure from Nike’s last React release. While the upcoming colorways themselves are something to behold, the new React midsole for the model is an eye-catcher. The foam cushioning features the same directional grooves as the Epic React Flyknit, though this new version seems to add stiffer plugs around the sole for extra support. The shoes will come in three mismatched colorways, each with their own unique flair. The first of these has a mostly olive colored upper, highlighted by hints of a soft khaki tone around the eyelets and lateral Swoosh. This model is completed by detailing in navy blue and a bright orange, as well as 3M reflective hints, placed all around the shoe. The second colorway features a lime green base, paired with a deep university red and small hints of blue, while the third and final shoe will come in a blue base with dark purple and neon green highlights surrounding it.

While no official release information was given with the reveal of these new shoes, expect the Undercover x Nike React Element 87 to arrive in stores in the coming months. Very little details at all were provided, so stay tuned to JustFreshKicks for more information.
