The team at Saucony Originals like to have a lot of fun with their releases. While their collaborative catalog is extensive and fantastic, some of the best ar their in-house offerings. Check out this month’s release, the Shadow 6000 “Saucamole”.

Saucony has had a long term affinity for food-themed sneakers. The past few years have been littered with them, and their latest project shows that 2019 is no different. Using the Shadow 6000 as a canvas, the Originals team has crafted a beautiful ode to a brunch staple: avocado toast. The upper is made from suede textured to look like smashed avocados, as well as bright green overlays. The leather mudguard and heel counter are dyed in a “Toasted Brown” color, while the inner lining is constructed from a red chili pepper flake mesh to complete the look. The tongue and insoles feature a custom avocado Saucony logo, while the heel is branded with a hilarious “Saucamole” alternative branding. The special edition Shadow 6000 will release later this month with a set of extra laces and special packaging.
