The Nike Air Carnivore is one of the most aggressive shoes to come from the Swoosh. Originally released in 1989, the Carnivore will now live on through an interpretation of the Nike Air Force 270, coming soon.

The Nike Air Carnivore was almost other-worldly when it first released back in the late 80’s. The high-top silhouette was based on elements of the Air Trainer Huarache, built up with an excessive system of layering and straps. The Carnivore also combined a wacky mix of materials, like neoprene, nylon, suede, and TPU plastic. Built for the gym, the Nike Air Carnivore was unlike anything the Swoosh has produced at that point. Now, the Carnivore’s OG colorway returns on the new Air Force 270.

The Nike Air Force 270 “Carnivore” takes inspiration from the 1989 silhouette’s most outrageous colorway. Beginning with a jade green upper, the silhouette is beefed up by black paneling over the toe and midfoot, while the supportive ankle collar comes in stark white. The signature central strap is covered a zebra-like print pattern, adding some flare to the Air Force 270. Finally, the new “Carnivore” colorway is complete by purple trim around the upper and 270 Air Bag.
