Ralph Steadman and Vans are set to team up for three collaborative skate shoes. Each of the Skate Hi, Slip-On, and the Style 138 feature designs of different animals.

Ralph Steadman has been around for quite some time. The England born illustrator has been the man behind the design of many book title covers and political cartoons. Most notably, he was the illustrator behind Travis Scott and Quavo’s collaborative album, Huncho Jack, Jack Huncho back in 2017. Last year, Nike even decided to dedicate an Air Max 180 to him that resembled one of his most famous drawings. Now, his creativity is allowed to shine on two classic and 1 less common Vans silhouettes.

Vans’ models have often been a canvas for many creative people. The aesthetic that they hold allows them to be painted and drawn on by many. This collaboration works out perfectly as it is professionally done now and appeals to a lot of people. Each silhouette draws upon a different animal and their themed colors. The Slip-On calls upon a white canvas and features yellow bees, black paint splatters and Vans branding in the same style font as the writing on Huncho Jack, Jack Huncho. Furthermore, the Style 138 has a navy blue upper that is accompanied by a whale illustration on the side panels, all while sitting on top of a white rubber midsole. Lastly, the Skate-Hi is doused in classic black and is dedicated to Zebras. Zebra stripes take over the lateral side panels and on the medial portion, a drawing of the animal itself is perfectly placed.

As of now, there is not an official release date scheduled. Expect the Ralph Steadman x Vans Vault Collection to become available soon and see different additions that feature other animals. Check out detailed pictures below and stay tuned to JustFreshKicks for updates and other Vans news.
