Pharrell William’s partnership with adidas has blossomed into one of the most sought after collections in recent years. Beginning with 50 colors of the classic adidas Stan Smith, 4 years later the two prepare their second NMD Hu Trail release.
Pharrell’s Human Race signature series has taken ahold of the sneaker market by storm. The N.E.R.D. artist took the NMD, a silhouette some were ready to move on from, and breathed new life into it, restyling the upper and adding molded TPU cages to the side for a very bold, and very cool, new look. The silhouette, paired with Pharrell’s message of equality and togetherness have shot the NMD Hu series to top of the popularity chart. Hot off the first release of Hu Trail shoes, Pharrell and the Three Stripes are gearing up for a new collection celebrating the Indian Holi festival. The Holi Festival is a celebration of color and love for your community. As part of the first release, adidas and Pharrell will release both clothing and shoes swathed in all white. The collection will come packaged separately from a set of powder dyes that are used in the Holi Festival, and intended to let the customer dye their shoes and clothing in any way they’d like. The collection will feature several apparel pieces, as well as each of the shoes Pharrell has worked on, the Stan Smith, the Pharrell Tennis Hu, and the NMD Trail Hu.
