Nike is going all out in their pursuit of the best running shoe this year. The past eight months alone have unleashed several new silhouettes, and next month, the Swoosh is dropping possibly the best yet. Check out the Nike Zoom Fly Flyknit.

Nike’s Zoom Fly sneakers are slowly taking over as some of the best hybrid running and casual shoes around. The Zoom Fly is modeled after the record-breaking VaporFly 4%, a shoe Nike built specifically to break the two-hour marathon record. The shoe combined a wealth of new Nike technology, namely the React foam midsole they designed to help compete with other leading brands. The midsole also included a revolutionary carbon fiber plate embedded inside to help the wearer’s foot rebound and provide even more energy return. While the original versions of the street-ready Zoom Fly did not retain this additional plate insert, the Swoosh is finally bringing it to a consumer silhouette.

Next month, Nike is set to introduce the Zoom Fly Flyknit. Making the most out of different technologies the Swoosh has to offer, the new Zoom Fly variation is primed to be the lightest and fastest yet. The updated version removes the mesh and translucent materials used on other Zoom Flys, replacing them with a single thin, yet durable and flexible piece of Nike Flyknit. Heralded by the world as the original knit shoe upper, the addition of Flyknit to the Zoom Fly will help reduce weight while bringing better comfort and adaptability to the shoe. The Nike Zoom Fly Flyknit will make its debut next month in an eye-catching new colorway. Beginning with a black Primeknit upper, the new silhouette adds hits of red around the midsole and laces to make the theme pop, while a neon orange Swoosh on either side completes the look.

The Nike Zoom Fly Flyknit was recently announced for release on September 13th, 2018. Very little is known about the release as of now, other than that they will release from both Nike and select retailers on that date.
