The last time PlayStation decorated a Nike silhouette with their signature style, the result was a super limited Air Force 1 that only made it into the hands of serious collectors. Now, Paul George is premiering his new shoe with the gaming giant.

Paul George is sticking with a gaming theme for his signature shoe debut. The Nike PG1 launched in a “2K” colorway, paying homage to George’s love for the game. This new PG2 “PlayStation” will be the first colorway of the new shoe. The PG2 is similar to the first iteration of the shoe in shape, but features aesthetic and performance upgrades. The upper of the shoe is constructed from mesh, with supportive underlays and thick lower eyelets that replace the strap from the first model. A thicker and slightly higher collar provide more comfort and stability on court, while the Zoom Air bag in the sole has been upgraded from 8mm to 10mm in height to provide a more cushioned forefoot ride. Patent leather covers the heel and inner toes for rock solid support.

This colorway swathes the PG2 with a deep navy upper surrounded by black patent leather. The eyelets, black speckled midsole, and large Swooshes feature colors from PlayStation’s signature palette, while the patent leather is pressed with the classic controller button logos. The tongues of this pair feature dual PG and PlayStation logos that are backed by LED lights. The lights feature three different modes, and are activated by a switch on the interior. The insoles feature a galaxy-themed print and dual logos, while the heel tabs feature a PG13 logo and a PlayStation serial number.
