Once again Nike and Kyrie Irving look to add a new colorway to his 5th signature sneaker. The Kyrie 5 “UFO” is a space-themed colorway that is expected to launch soon.
The ‘shoe fits’ on this edition as Kyrie Irving, a known conspiracy theorist himself, dedicates a Nike Kyrie 5 to UFOs. As the NBA superstar and the Boston Celtics prepare for the NBA playoffs, the point guard also looks to add fresh new iterations of his sneakers. Seeing that the playoffs just started, if the Celtics keep getting closer to the finals, we could be seeing a lot of Kyrie 5’s hitting the market.
Navy blue obsidian mesh takes on the upper and is met with space styled accents. As the lacing shroud and heel guard take on the same color as the upper, they both are met with a white speckled print that resembles the night sky. A bright blue and green then contrast the navy as the Nike Swoosh and the Kyrie logo on the tongue really pop and catch the eye. To solidify the UFO theme even more, a basketball-inspired UFO logo is placed on the Venus Flytrap shroud. Finishing off the look, a blue midsole that is highlighted with an orange accent, and a marbled blue and green outsole take on the bottoms of the basketball sneaker.

The Nike Kyrie 5 “UFO” is expected to take off on April 20th, 2019. They will make a landing at select retailers and Nike.com for a retail price of $130.
