The Nike Flyknit Trainer is better than ever in 2018. With the sneaker’s surprising return last year, Nike launched colorways that fell flat of expectations. Now, the Swoosh is rising to the challenge with the upcoming “Velvet Brown” Flyknit Trainer.

The Nike Flyknit Trainer is getting a lot of attention this year. After the shoe returned to glory in 2017 with several original and new colorways, fans were left somewhat disappointed by the results. The colors Nike chose for the retro release were monotone hues that didn’t add anything new or exciting to the shoes. Now, Nike is making up for it by utilizing their original Flyknit pattern in 2018 pairs. This means that instead of one single color making up the knit, Nike uses several different shades or colors of thread, creating an off-set mix of hues throughout the upper. For the new “Velvet Brown” iteration, Nike is putting some of their past favorites to good use. This colorway mixes shades of light brown and off-white, creating a neutral upper highlighted by a bright red outsole.
