Nike’s Pegasus franchise has received a lot of love from fans in recent years, thanks largely to the innovative Pegasus Turbo. Now, Nike is ready to revive an early-2000s Pegasus built for the trails next month.

The Nike Pegasus line has long served as one of the brand’s steadiest franchises, evolving into the current Pegasus 36 we know today. In that long line of thirty-six different silhouettes, Nike has made some changes here and there to better outfit the Pegasus for other off-road adventures, which became known as the Air Zoom Pegasus Trail. Originally released back in the early 2000s, the Peg Trail took what runners love about the sleek and lightweight runner and directly transferred it to rocky terrain & trails. Now, the Swoosh is ready to do it again.

The Pegasus 36 Trail looks largely similar to the most recent iterations of the shoe, as you would expect. The mesh upper has been protected by weather-proof taping around the toes and heels, while the mid and outsoles have been reconstructed for better durability and adaptability to rough terrain. The new look will launch initially in a bright green colorway, before returning in more iterations throughout the Summer.

Nike’s greatest running franchise will return in its fan-favorite Trail form next month on June 13th, 2019. The sleek new look for the altered Pegasus 36 will go for a cool $130, making these a great Summer running shoe.
