The Air Max 97 is not going away soon. Having leaked and subsequently released in many new colorways so far this year, official images recently surfaced of one of the coolest colorways yet. Check out the “Gold Rush” AM97, coming soon.
The reign of the Air Max 97 continues. By now, most sneaker collectors are aware that the shoe celebrated its twentieth-anniversary last year, and has returned in 2018 in greater numbers and colors. While last year saw the release of many original color schemes from the 90’s, Nike has taken quite a turn since then, introducing dozens of brand new patterns and colorways onto the timeless silhouette. The latest new look to grace the Air Max 97 is one the boldest yet and looks to be the perfect addition to a Fall wardrobe.
So far known as the “Gold Rush” iteration, the new AM97 begins with a simple wheat colored upper. Next, the two central-most stripes on the shoe are splashed with a brick red and pink blush to spice up the look. The Nike branding around the shoe also takes on the two red variations, as do the inner lining and underfoot Airbag.

The new golden Nike Air Max 97 has not officially been given a release date, though they are expected in stores soon. This wheat-colored pair will retail for the usual $160, from both Nike and select retailers.
