The Nike Air Max 97 returned to glory in 2017. The wavy 90’s silhouette had been left by the wayside for some time, and the brand’s relaunch went incredibly well. In fact, it went so well that Nike has decided to re-release the famous “Gold Bullet” 97 again.

The Nike Air Max 97 celebrated its twentieth-anniversary last year. The reception from fans was overwhelming, and the Swoosh struggled to make sure everyone who wanted a pair got some. Luckily, the celebration carried over into 2018 and Nike is continuing to produce both new and original colorways to feed the growing demand. One of last year’s most sought-after pairs was the OG “Gold Bullet” colorway which has maintained its grail status amongst sneakerheads since the late 90s. Last year’s drop was a success, with the golden Air Max 97 finding it’s way into the hands of those who were lucky enough. Now, it appears that Nike is giving those unlucky fans another chance at the coveted shoe. According to new information, the “Gold Bullet” Nike Air Max 97 OG will release again in mid-May of this year.
