As a part of this year’s Air Max celebration, Nike has added a new Air bag to their arsenal, the 270, noted as the tallest Air unit to date. The second model to adopt the new unit, the Nike Air Force 270, will debut in a “Phantom” colorway next week.

Launching in the form of the Nike Air Max 270 early in February, the 270 Air bag will make its way to the new Nike Air Force 270. The silhouette was built to pay homage to air, and feel as light and comfortable, but secure as possible on the wearer’s foot. To accomplish this, the design team utilized a mix of lightweight leather, soft nubuck, textiles designed for technical performance to enhance the fit. The construction is comprised of structural overlays around the heel and midfoot to provide ankle and arch support. A single strap crosses over the center of the shoe for a quick bind if you like your laces loose. The “Phantom” colorway features an off-white and cream base, with baby blue detailing. The toe box and midfoot leather paneling take on the soft cream color, while the base booty of the shoe as well as the textile and nubuck layers are displayed in the tinted white. The two mini Swoosh logos on the ankle and tongue take on the light blue, as well as a small section of the pull strap and the Air Force 270 branding on the heel.
