The Nike Air Force 1 “Taiwan” originally debuted back in the early 2000’s and released exclusively in Asia. After a limited release during last month’s All-Star festivities, the legendary grail is set to see a wider release later this year.

The Nike Air Force 1 is one of the most famous silhouettes of all time and is beloved by sneakerheads and regular consumers all over the world. In 2001, Nike released a version of the model exclusive to Asia, with an updated look that surprised many and has become one of the most coveted collector’s models. The “Taiwan” Air Force 1 was the first model to feature a thick Swoosh with a color gradient on it. The extremely rare sneaker begins with a white leather base, highlighted with a large bulbous Swoosh that begins in red around the curve, before fading to grey at the point. The red Swoosh takes over the lateral sides of each shoe, while the medial sides are decorated with a black Swoosh that fades to white. The Nike Air branding on the tongue and midsole are bright red to match, and the shoe is finished off by a translucent outsole.
