Nike’s Air Force 1 is always up for an exciting new colorway. This month, the shoe is taking on a multitude of new patterns and materials- all on one red and gold silhouette. Check out the latest AF1 Premium, coming soon.

The Nike Air Force 1 is a staple in any Swoosh collector’s closet. The silhouette is filled with enough history to fill a textbook and even more iterations and colorways than likely any other Nike shoe. However, that has never stopped the brand from heading back to the drawing board with the timeless basketball-turned-lifestyle silhouette.

This month, we have an early look at a new premium take on the classic Air Force 1. For the new look, Nike has rehauled the materials used throughout the upper, separating them into three distinct sections with unique patterns and textures. At the heel, red snakeskin is lined by a black collar and heel tab, and a gold Swoosh featuring exposed stitching in black. The quarter panels come in a custom stained glass pattern which is stitched largely from red and gold with tiny blue swooshes strewn throughout, split down the middle by a plain black tongue. Lastly, the toe box is one of the most exciting pieces of the whole shoe. While the material is tough to make out, it begins with a red base and features gold embroidered flowers and Nike Swooshes scattered in a dense pattern across the toe. Finally, the look is complete with a stained glass Nike Air logo on the tongue and red Swoosh on each heel.

Nike’s exciting new premium colorway for the Air Force 1 is expected to release sometime this month, April 2019, though Nike has not unveiled the shoe themselves yet. The elevated AF1 will likely retail for much more than $100 due to the materials used, and release in limited numbers from Nike and select retailers.
