Nike is on a roll right now with their release lineup for 2018. With recent retros, Jordan Brand’s plans for the year, and new technology, the Swoosh has a lot on its plate. Now, they’ve added the highly sought after Air Force 1 “Hong Kong” to their calendar.

The Nike Air Force 1 “Hong Kong” originally debuted in 2001, alongside the “Snakeskin” and “Wheat” variations that completed the Air Force 1 B pack. The eclectic collection of Air Force 1’s was meant to push the boundaries at the time, combining bold colors with premium materials to showcase the versatility of the silhouette. The “Hong Kong” colorway was the most popular, and still fetches hundreds of dollars on the resale market today. That may change soon though, as Nike surprise-released a limited run of the coveted Air Force model during their “Makers of the Game” event in Los Angeles this weekend. To add to the surprise, the Swoosh debuted the shoe on their SNKRS App, adding that the “Hong Kong” rendition would receive a global release next week. The premium colorway boasts a forest green upper, constructed from full grain tumbled leather, highlighted by the smaller-than-average embroidered white Swoosh. The luxury materials continue on the inside, with a burgundy satin collar lining to match the laces. The insole comes in a bright orange, with standard Nike Air branding printed on them. The Air Force 1 “Hong Kong” is finished off with a plain white sole.
