Images of an adidas collaboration with Japanese streetwear label Neighborhood have been circulating in sneaker circles for months now. The project has gone largely unconfirmed, until today, when a full look at the drop was revealed.

The Neighborhood x adidas collection will include four pairs of shoes, along with a full range of clothing. The shoes include the adidas NMD R1, I-5923 runner, Gazelle Super, and a new silhouette that is being called the “Chop Shop”, alongside staples from the adidas apparel catalog like the standard track jacket and track pants. All of the pieces are covered in NBHD’s signature style, featuring black uppers on all the shoes. The NMD features white stitching to contrast the upper, with a white tooth-like graphic wrapping around the toe box. This model is also a slight rebuild of the original design, featuring a new suede panel on the side covering the three stripes, and a strap attaching the panel to the heel. Other details on the NMD include NBHD branding around the heel and tongue. The I-5923, also known as the Iniki, features a similar all black design, with minimal use of Neighborhood logos on the stripes, logo, and heel. The Primeknit Gazelle included in the pack will also come in a blacked out colorway, with a simple Neighborhood logo replacing the adidas branding on the sides of the shoe. Lastly, a new silhouette for 2018 will drop with the other models. Referred to as the Chop Shop, this shoe utilizes the same full-length Boost midsole as the I-5923, and appears to build off of previous complaints about the Iniki being too flimsy. The shape of the upper is quite similar, though it looks as if it will be constructed from a more stiff material, providing a more supportive fit. This model will utilize an all black upper with the same tooth pattern as the NMD, this time featured along the heel. Other noticeable details include Neighborhood branding on both the tongue and heel tab.
