PUMA is having a moment with their retroed sneaker styles in 2019. With their new RS-X silhouette holding the lifestyle front down for them, they’ve tapped legendary tv station MTV to give a colorful new take on the running sneaker.

PUMA’s retro releases are on fire right now. Most recently, the brand has reissued its Running System technology from the 1980s and adapted it for a whole new form: the RS-X. To celebrate, they’ve partnered with a string of collaborators to create a beautiful offering of 80s and 90s themed sneakers. So far, projects with companies like Toys R Us, Hot Wheels, and Tetris, and this week, we have our first look at the next installment, coming in March.

Next month, PUMA is teaming up with the legendary Music Television, or MTV on a new set of RS-X sneakers. Like previous collaborations before them, they are a blast from the past. Arriving in both white and black versions, the MTV RS-X layers the chunky runner with a vibrant teal tone and an equally eye-catching purple to create their ode to the 80s. MTV branding is added to the heels, tongues, and insoles to complete the look.
