The adidas Ultra Boost has been on a hot streak recently. Between the special Consortium series and the regular new colorways, adidas has also found time for a special release with China’s Madness boutique.

adidas has spent much of 2018 dolling out as many new projects as they can. Whether it be new silhouettes, exciting collaborations, or crafting new technologies, the Three Stripes has been in their bag this year, and it doesn’t look like they’re done yet. Earlier this week, another new project from adidas was teased, this time with an up-and-coming Chinese boutique named Madness. Founded by actor Shawn Yue, the shop was opened so that the Chinese celebrity could share his passion for style and fashion with the world. The Madness x adidas Ultra Boost pack features two tonal versions of the silhouette, one in black and one in white. Both feature stylized paint splatters across the toe box, using red paint for the white pair and white paint for the black. Additionally, the supporting cages on either side are made from nubuck and suede, and feature a Madness slogan which reads “all work and no play makes you mad”.

The Madness x adidas Ultra Boost “Splatter” pack was teased by the boutique’s founder this past week, with no information regarding the release. The two-piece collection is expected to drop sometime soon, though there is currently no timetable for release. Given the limited edition nature of the shoe, the $180 retail price is expected to be elevated, though this remains to be seen.
