adidas’ Originals sector has been on fire with their releases this year. This month, Chinese bike makers Forever will give the ZX500 RM a clean new update themed after their brand.
The adidas ZX500 first released in 1984 as the brand’s offering for high-mileage running. The shoe became immensely popular due to its performance and comfort and has now become a beloved Originals silhouette in the modern era. The last time we saw the ZX500, the shoe was true to the original, a collector’s dream. This time around though, adidas is bringing the 80’s cult classic into the future with their beaded Boost technology.
Over the past several months, adidas’ renovated ZX500 RM has gone through the gauntlet of retro releases. Dropping in numerous exciting colorways and special boutique SMUs, the ZX500 is finally being included in the brand’s high-profile collaborations. First released under the Consortium moniker last month, now the classic silhouette is receiving a makeover from Chinese bicycle brand Forever. The shoe is dressed in a flat white base with black stripes and heels and rounded out by vibrant crimson detailing. Forever’s logos are present on both the heel and tongues, completing the look.
FOREVER x ADIDAS ZX500 RM RELEASE INFORMATION
Chinese Bike manufacturer Forever is set to release their limited edition adidas ZX500 RM on January 25th, 2019. The white, black, and crimson color scheme will retail for an elevated $170, and is expected to release from both adidas and select retailers.
